Case Study - Britvic Soft Drinks

Britvic Clock at Widford

We asked Bell Fundraising to visit our sites over the Christmas period to highlight our payroll giving scheme to our employees. When we met with them prior to promoting, they explained their concept of charities working together to help each other and discussed our requirements; namely raising awareness of the scheme itself and carrying information on Britvic’s supported charities.

They visited 11 of our sites and the results speak for themselves. The generosity of Britvic employees combined with the friendly and professional approach from Bell fundraisers meant that we doubled take up of the scheme within the company to around 100 donors (nearly 5% of Britvic’s employees). Colleagues took well to the idea of giving to small groups of charities, many choosing to support Friends at Work, Smile a Minute or Make a Difference. Carrying Britvic’s information alongside that of Bell’s groups ensured that 15% of new donors chose to support Britvic’s charities. It was a great success for all parties, particularly when you remember that our charities benefited even more as they were recruited free of charge by Bell.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Bell Fundraising to companies looking to promote payroll giving to their staff. Importantly, they listen. Raising awareness of this easy way to give is not a “one size fits all” solution. The team’s experience, together with their ethical concept, polite and well trained staff and attention to detail has ensured they will be invited back to Britvic to promote in the future.
